Wenda Harris Millard Named to ContextWeb Board of Directors

Hello from ContextWeb!

We have announced that Wenda Harris Millard, President, Media of Martha Stewart Omnimedia and the newly named Chairman of the Randall Rothenberg's Internet Advertising Bureau, has joined ContextWeb's board of directors. All of us could not be more pleased to have such a media "rock star" involved with ContextWeb and its ADSDAQ Advertising Exchange.

You'll have to read the full announcement, but Wenda's achievements include overseeing the dramatic growth of display advertising at Yahoo! to $6.4 billion in 2006 from $717 million when she joined in 2001. She was also a founding member of DoubleClick and oversaw the operations of DoubleClick Media.

It is not lost on any of us here that both of the companies just mentioned operate advertising exchanges (Yahoo! operates RightMedia and DoubleClick operates the DoubleClick Ad Exchange or AdX).

It is a credit to the hard work of everyone here that Wenda quickly understood that we are doing something different—building a platform that solves the media fragmentation problem for the advertiser by creating a brand-safe advertising exchange at scale.

It keeps getting better and better here at ContextWeb across the board including our sales achievements with the biggest and greatest ad agencies and brands in the world, the growth of our self service ADSDAQ Selling Desk and the anticipation of our self service ADSDAQ Buying Desk service launching in second quarter.
